Optimize Your Videos

Below we provide you some guidelines as to what your encoding settings should be for outputting your video to your hard drive.

Resolution Recommended: Original resolution of your video - 720 X 480;
640 X 480; anything at or above 400 X 300 resolution which is what it is compressed to
Bit Rate If you want an all around estimate then 600kbps should be sufficient. When using quicktime or windows movie maker compress using the default medium quality setting.
Frame rate Note: The frame rate of the original video should be maintained without re-sampling. We strongly suggest you do not reduce the frame rate.
Preferred containers WMV; QT; AVI for Smaller files.
Audio
Codec MP3
Sampling rate 44.100kHz although 22,050 will work.
Channels 1 (mono)
